The TMC system collects traffic information from local FM radio stations, which is broadcast digitally along with Traffic Alerts (TA) on your car radio. This information is then integrated into your satellite navigator. If the software detects that there is a significant delay or road closure on the route you have chosen, it will ask you if you would like to avoid it and plan a different route around the event. You can choose to stay on your planned route. This will recalculate your new arrival time including raids. It is very accurate in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and some other countries in Europe. There are no ongoing costs or subscriptions.
